Havana (dpa) - Havana's international airport will be managed by the
French company Aeroports de Paris, the Cuban Transport Ministry said
Wednesday.
Cuba is privatising Jose Marti Airport to prepare for an expected
increase in traffic.
The French construction company, Bouygues Batiment International was
also contracted to expand and modernise the airport.
The airport was used by 3.5 million passengers in 2015 and this year 3.7
million are expected.
The normalisation of Cuba's relationship with the US is expected to
deliver a steep increase in flight traffic.
The airline JetBlue will commence the first regular service between the
US and Cuba in August. American Airlines is expected to follow in September.
Along with Paris' international airports, Aeroports de Paris manage 31
other airports around the world.
