Heineman Heads Back To Cuba For Business

Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman is making a return trip to Cuba.

Heineman has made four trips to the communist country adding up to $60
million worth of commodities.

In March, he inked a deal with Cuba to export $16 million worth of wheat
and pork products from the Husker state.

Asked whether it was common for a governor to make multiple trips in one
year to Cuba, Heineman had this to say.

Gov. Dave Heineman, (R) Nebraska, says "I've said that if they want to
sign a deal every three months I'll be there every three months, because
we are competing in an international market economy. Whether it's Cuba
or the trip I took to China and Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and we've got
to compete in these markets."

Heineman hopes to accomplish a lot during his short visit. He thinks the
deal will be worth between 10 and 15 million dollars.

Heineman left on Sunday and will return to the U.S. on Wednesday.
