Costa Rican business misson seeks to export to Cuba
SAN JOSE, Nov 02, 2009 (Xinhua via COMTEX) --

A Costa Rican business misson arrived in Cuba on Monday to promote the
country's export to the Cuban market.

The visit of the mission, the first initiated by the Exterior Commerce
Promoter (PROCOMER), aimed to reinforce business ties between the two
countries.

"We hope through the visit, bilateral export cooperation would be
enhanced," said PROCOMER General Manager Emmanuel Hess.

According to official figures, Costa Rica's export revenue to Cuba
reached 17.9 million U.S. dollars in 2008, most of which was obtained
through such products as textiles, medicines and insecticides.
