North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring is leading a trade
delegation to Cuba. The seven-person group is to leave Saturday for
Havana and return to Bismarck Nov. 24. It will be the eighth Cuban trade
mission organized by the state Agriculture Department.
Goehring says the group will meet with officials from Alimport, Cuba`s
food purchasing agency. He says the focus will be on selling dry edible
beans, peas, wheat and distillers grains to the island nation.
Goehring says officials also will continue to work on finalizing the
documents needed to ship North Dakota potatoes to Cuba.
