Sept. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Cuba's ``entire'' sugar crop was flattened and
flooded this month by hurricanes Ike and Gustav, Reuters reported,
citing a broadcast on state-run television.
An estimated 156,600 hectares (386,967 acres) of sugar cane were
flattened and 518,878 hectares were flooded, according to the report
yesterday. Flooded crops need to be drained within two weeks to avoid
production losses, Reuters said.
